Prayer for the Week of August 4th

O Lord, I give You thanks and call upon Your name.  I will tell people who You are and share with them what You've done for me.  I sing praises to You and glorify Your holy name.

I seek Your strength and continually seek Your face Lord, and my heart rejoices.  I remember all the marvelous works and wonders You have done, and Your spoken judgments.  You are Lord our God, and Your judgments are in all the earth.  As an heir and chosen one, I will always be mindful of Your covenant, Your Word, which You commanded to a thousand generations.

Father, those around me, believers and unbelievers, will hear and see that I love You - that You are a great God and greatly to be praised.  You, Lord, made the heavens and are to be reverently and worshipfully feared above all gods.  Glory and honor are in Your presence.  Strength and gladness are in Your place.  I give unto You, Lord, glory and strength.

I offer myself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, God, which is my reasonable service.  I am not conformed to this world, but am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I glorify and worship You, Lord in the beauty of holiness.  All the earth will reverently fear and worship You, and the world will be stable, it will be unmoved, unshakable!  Men of all nations will say, “The Lord reigns”!  All of heaven and earth will be glad, and shall worship and praise You.  Halleluiah!

I give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

1 Chronicles 16:8-15, 23-34 various translations
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

We Can Be Just Like Jesus

Just like Jesus

The Bible tells us that we can be just like Jesus.

1 John 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

One of my favorite verses is

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

I was made to be like Jesus so I could function the same way He did.  What Jesus did is what I should be doing.

John 17:4  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

John 17:6  I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

John 17:20-23  “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

If we are supposed to glorify God we must be like Jesus.  Jesus glorified His Father by openly showing the world His Father.

Who's Ways??

Getting to Know God's Ways

When you know someone extremely well...you know their ways, habits, etc.
Because of this you can anticipate what they will do or say.
Isn't that the way we should be with God?
Know Him so well that we know and anticipate what He will do in our lives?
For instance, I know God as my provider because His Word says in Phil. 4:19 that He will supply ALL of my needs according to HIS riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.
So I anticipate that and choose not to fear when I look at the economy, my bank account, etc.

It is vital to know Him and His ways to be a successful Christian.
Heed the warning stated in Heb 3:7-10 . Especially pay attention to verse 10:
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

You err in your heart when you do not believe God and what He says in His Word. You show Him no honor when you choose to live like the world and not believe in what He has provided for you through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ

Get to know God and His ways and choose not to err in your heart.

The Season to Arise and Shine

Tis the Season to Arise and Shine

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flocks by night.
And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2: 8-11

A Light for revelation to the Gentiles (to disclose what was before unknown) and (to bring) praise and honor and glory to Your people Israel.
Luke 2:32 AMP

Glory to God in the Highest!!

This is the time of year that we celebrate the birth of our Precious Lord and Saviour - that we remember and appreciate how He humbled Himself and became a man to save us from our sin. I Praise God for all of this and am so very grateful!

As I have grown in my walk with the Lord and have learned from His Word, I am finding out that there is so much more to what Christ has done for us!

He came as the LIGHT of the world - A Light that dispels the darkness. Light also means having understanding and knowledge of the truth. As children of God we have that Light of the gospel within us and it gives us revelation of His Word.

Jesus’ main objective for coming to the earth was to destroy the works of satan (that’s what His Light does) and restore relationship with the Father. As believers, that should be our objective too.

He gave us power to become the sons of God when we choose to believe on Him. (John 1:12) In doing so, He also gave power and authority over all devils and sickness. (Luke 9:1)

We can only know and understand these things and how to defeat satan’s deception by spending time with the Father, reading the Word which helps us get to know the Father, believing what the Bible says and living like we believe it!

This Christmas season live in that Light and Arise and Shine for the Glory of God!!

Are You Willing and Obedient?

Recently, the Lord has been talking to me about listening more intently to Him. He brought me to Proverbs 4:1-6. It says:
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake you not my law. For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not and she shall preserve thee: love her and she shall keep thee.

The Bible is a living Word given to us to learn how to live, overcome and have joy in this fallen world. Nothing can substitute what the Holy Spirit can speak to us, both individually and as a corporate body through divine revelation of the Word. When God speaks to us through His Word and through those whom He uses to teach us His Word, its best that we take heed to what He is trying to get across to us.

One thing I have noticed in the last couple of years is that God is preparing His people to go home. He wants a pure and spotless bride that is ready to stand before Him. He is dealing with us in areas that many of us have desired to be left alone. It’s too hard, emotionally and physically to deal with…or so we have allowed the enemy to convince us.

We must make a choice to believe and trust God to help us let go of the things that hold us back or that seem too painful to deal with. We have to believe that just like ripping a band aid off of a sensitive area – it will only be painful for a few moments, but then we are free of it and can finally move forward without fear or pain!

In Isaiah 1:19-20 it says:  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The Lord made it very clear to me that you need to be both willing and obedient when He speaks to you about changing things in your life. If you are not willing you will not be obedient and if you are not obedient then you are not willing.
If you truly have a desire to do what God is calling you to do in these last days and to do it with the Power of God flowing through you…isn’t it time to face those things holding you back and have victory over them?

Philippians 4:13 AMP version says: I have strength for ALL things in Christ (*the Anointed One and His anointing*) which empowers me (I am ready for anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency).   * added from the Greek

He will give you the strength, courage and boldness to do ALL that you need to do and the grace (the supernatural ability) to overcome.

Be Blessed
