A Prayer for Your Husband

,
Prayer For Your Husband

Father, I thank You for (insert name) who delights himself in You. Your Spirit rests upon him - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power; the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

Thank You, Father, that (insert name) is loving, patient and kind. He is not envious, boastful, proud, rude, or self-seeking. He is not easily angered and never keeps a record of my wrongs. He is quick to forgive. He rejoices when righteousness and truth prevail.

He always speaks well of me and believes the best of me. He always hopes and perseveres because You, Lord, are his primary focus.

Father, because we love You first and foremost and are submitted to You as the Head of the Church, we are committed and submitted to one another, daily maturing in the oneness You meant to exist in our relationship.

In (insert name) tongue is life and not death. He strengthens our relationship by speaking Your Word, Lord, in the face of any circumstance. He is never degrading or intimidating, but always uplifts, edifies and encourages.

Thank You, Father, that (insert name) is a peacemaker. He refuses to allow strife, envy, or selfishness in our marriage and home. Because our home is a haven of love, peace and harmony, our prayers are not hindered and Your blessings are overtaking us, Lord.

Thank You, Father, for helping us to mature in You and in our relationship with one another. Amen.
