What Is Going On?

Two things are going on right now in the Kingdom of God.  Both are equally important, and unless a person gets a revelation of them, they are going to find themselves left behind.  The first thing that is going on is the Holy Spirit is correcting the Church.  By convicting individuals, the Holy Spirit is making the Church fit to move the Kingdom of God forward.  The other thing that is going on is a rallying of troops.  God wants us to work together as one body to fulfill His calling.  I believe that these two things are key to the next move that God wants to do here in the United States.

Christian means Christ like.  This means that to be called a Christian is to live a life as Christ did.  There is a difference between just being saved and actually being Christ like.  Most people do not have a grasp of the perfect life that Christ lived.  How is a person to be like Jesus if they do not know how he lived?  This is why Pastor Mitch spent several months covering the names of Jesus and trying to get the congregation to understand His life and how He lived.  The methods and order in which we are being taught is intentional, and it is going to be difficult to move on without getting a full understanding in an area.  If you have not gotten a revelation of the life of Christ yet, I would strongly suggest that you go back to it until you do.  Read and meditate on the book of Mathew and ask the Holy Ghost to help you understand the life of Jesus.

Once a person begins modeling their life after Christ (2 Peter 1:5), others will begin to see the blessings on their lives.  This will spark a natural curiosity which will draw them in.  Once drawn in, it is our responsibility to give God the glory so that He can begin to do with them what He did with us.  By modeling ourselves after Christ and allowing Him to perfect us, we will be on our way to Mount Zion as a body.  Much like the military trains everyone the same for a common goal, the body of Christ must be trained with the same goal in mind.  As it currently stands, God’s people do not agree on how people are to be trained, how people are to live, how people are to worship, ect.  With that said, there is no way that we have the same goal in mind.  The only concept that Christians generally agree on is that accepting Jesus is the way to God, but there is no consensus on how to live or how to have a relationship with the Father.  Jesus was our example of how we are to reside on Earth.  By actually learning how He lived his life, we too can have the same relationship with the Father, and as a result of that relationship, we will have the same goals that he does.

In Matthew 6:31 we are instructed to seek the Kingdom of God first.  By pursuing the righteousness of Christ and working together to pursue the desires of God, Jesus will shine through us so that the Jewish nation will be awakened to the truth.  What many do not understand is that the Jewish nation takes their beliefs very seriously.  They are diligent to learn the Torah, and many spend their lives preparing themselves for the coming of Christ.  There is no way they are going to follow Christians if we continue to fit God into a time slot and only call on Him when the shovel we dug our hole with breaks.  We are called to be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.  This means that we are to be leaders, not living day to day wondering what our purpose is.  If we are to lead God’s chosen people into righteousness, we need to first seek the path of righteousness both as individuals and as a body.  If the Jews were to realize the Truth today, do you think they would be interested in joining Christians?  No, all they are going to do is split, but if the Christians have set themselves apart from the rest of the world as we are called to do, the Jewish people will see God in our lives and they will want what we have.

Prayer Focus for
the Week of 11-6-13

O God, I look unto the hills from where my help comes. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Without You I can do nothing!
Holy Father, please forgive me for being double-minded and speaking contrary to Your Word. Teach me how to think like You and follow Your ways.
You said that Your Word does not come back to You without producing results. When I speak Your Word, I believe it will accomplish that which pleases You, and Your Word will prosper in the thing it is sent. I let the Your Word dwell in me richly. He who began a good work in me will continue until the day of Christ.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Focus For The Week of 8-25-13

O Lord God, great is Your faithfulness.  Even when things in the world don’t look or sound good, I can still find hope and expectation in Your Word.  I remember how merciful You have been to me in the past and I rejoice that Your mercy is renewed each morning.  Your faithfulness is truly great!

My soul says, the Lord is my portion and I will hope in Him.  The Lord is good to those who wait for Him and seek Him.  I hope and quietly wait upon the salvation of the Lord.

Lord, I wait for You.  My expectation and hope are in You.  As I obediently make the changes You show me, my strength and power are renewed.  I lift up my wings like an eagle and soar closer and closer to You.  When I walk or run, I don’t get weary or tired and faint.

I only desire to seek after You and forever be in Your presence all the days of my life.  There I can look upon Your beauty and meditate and inquire in Your temple and You will always answer me.

Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for it is truly great!  In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Focus for the Week of 8-18-13

Father, Your Word says that if I confess my sins, You will forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Help me to receive my forgiveness for past and present sins.  Help me to forgive myself.

When I keep it all inside, my bones waste away through my daylong groans.  For day and night, Your hand [of displeasure] is heavy upon me; all the juices of my life dry up.  I acknowledge my sin to You, Lord, and my iniquity I will no longer hide.

Lord God, I am blessed, for You have forgiven my transgressions – You have covered my sins.  I am blessed, for You will never count my sins against me.  You, Father, are holding nothing against me and You’re not holding anything back from me.  Halleluiah!

Father, You chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and without blame before You in love.  In Jesus I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of my sins according to the riches of Your grace.

Lord, I have received Your Son Jesus, I believe in His name, and He has given me the right to become a son of God.  I acknowledge You, Lord, as my Father.  Thank You for forgiving me and absolving me of all guilt.  I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of my testimony.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for the Week of August 4th

O Lord, I give You thanks and call upon Your name.  I will tell people who You are and share with them what You've done for me.  I sing praises to You and glorify Your holy name.

I seek Your strength and continually seek Your face Lord, and my heart rejoices.  I remember all the marvelous works and wonders You have done, and Your spoken judgments.  You are Lord our God, and Your judgments are in all the earth.  As an heir and chosen one, I will always be mindful of Your covenant, Your Word, which You commanded to a thousand generations.

Father, those around me, believers and unbelievers, will hear and see that I love You - that You are a great God and greatly to be praised.  You, Lord, made the heavens and are to be reverently and worshipfully feared above all gods.  Glory and honor are in Your presence.  Strength and gladness are in Your place.  I give unto You, Lord, glory and strength.

I offer myself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You, God, which is my reasonable service.  I am not conformed to this world, but am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I glorify and worship You, Lord in the beauty of holiness.  All the earth will reverently fear and worship You, and the world will be stable, it will be unmoved, unshakable!  Men of all nations will say, “The Lord reigns”!  All of heaven and earth will be glad, and shall worship and praise You.  Halleluiah!

I give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

1 Chronicles 16:8-15, 23-34 various translations
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  (Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

Prayer Focus

Father, thank You that the entrance of Your words gives light and understanding.  I thank You that Your Word which You speak, (and which I speak), is alive and full of power – making it active, operative, energizing, and effective.  I thank You, Father that You have given me a spirit of power, love, and self-control.  I have Your power and ability and sufficiency, for You have qualified me (made me fit, worthy, and sufficient) as a minister and dispenser of a new covenant of salvation through Christ.
Today I attend to the Word of God.  I consent and submit to Your sayings, Father.  Your words shall not depart from my sight; I will keep them in the midst of my heart.  For they are life to me, healing and health to all my flesh.  I keep and guard my heart with all vigilance, for out of it flow the springs of life.
My delight and desire are in the law of the Lord and on His law I habitually meditate by day and by night.  Therefore, I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water, ready to bring forth my fruit in my season, my leaf also shall not wither, and everything I do shall prosper.
Thanks be to God, Who always causes me to triumph in Christ, and through me spreads everywhere the fragrance of what it means to know Him!
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” (Psalm 119:130 KJV)

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective];” (Hebrews 4:12a AMP)

”For God gave us a Spirit who produces not timidity, but power, love and self-discipline.“
(2 Timothy 1:7 CJB)
“Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God. [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.” (2 Corinthians 3:5-6 AMP)
“My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.  For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.  Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.”  (Proverbs 4:20-23 AMP)
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalm 1:2-3)

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV)

When We Confess He Forgives

Psalm 32:5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Praise God!! That's something to shout about!! When we confess our sin to the Lord, He forgives us and not only that, but the iniquity of our sin!! Whoo! Hoo!!

Now what does that mean?

Well, I got to looking up that word "iniquity" and here is what I found:

Iniquity defined in the dictionary means...a perversion of the truth which leads to error, a perversion of intent which affects our will.

The Hebrew meaning is...twisted, to be bent or crooked. The Lord then brought up to me that Iniquity causes you to justify your actions. Whoa!!

Iniquity is knowingly doing something over and over again that is contrary to the will of God and continuing in that sin even though you know what you should do!

You ignore that still small voice that says what you are doing is wrong and you need to repent. As you continue in it, it almost becomes a part of you.

How many times have you done that? Your hearing from God and your understanding of the Word becomes dull. And you wonder why your prayers aren't being answered.

How simple it is to just say...God, I come to you with an honest heart and ask that you show me any iniquity in my heart that is blocking me from hearing You. The moment you do that and He shows you something - repent right then! He is Ever Faithful to Forgive you!!

Isn't that AWESOME?!!!
God Love You So Very Much!!!

Our Prayer Focus This Week.

 Prayer Focus for the Week

Father, in the name of Jesus, I commit myself to walk in the Word. Your Word living in me produces Your life in this world. I recognize that Your Word is integrity itself – steadfast, sure, eternal – and I trust my life to its provisions.

You have sent your Word forth into my heart. I let it dwell in me richly in all wisdom. I meditate in it day and night so that I may diligently act on it. The Incorruptible Seed, the Living Word, the Word of Truth, is abiding in my spirit. That seed is growing mightily in me now, producing Your nature, Your life. It is my counsel, my shield, my buckler, my powerful weapon in battle. The Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me. I do not stumble, for my steps are ordered in the Word.

The Holy Spirit leads and guides me into all the truth. He gives me understanding, discernment, and comprehension, so that I am preserved from the snares of the evil one.

I delight myself in You and Your Word. Because of that, You put Your desires within my heart. I commit my way unto You, and You bring it to pass. I am confident that You are at work in me now both to will and to do all Your good pleasure.

I exalt Your Word, hold it in high esteem, and give it first place. I make my schedule around Your Word. I make the Word final authority to settle all questions that confront me. I choose to agree with the Word of God, and I choose to disagree with any thought, conditions, or circumstances contrary to Your Word. I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the living Word of God!
 Amen.

Prayer Focus

Prayer Focus for the Week of 7-7-13

My soul waits only upon You, my God, and I obey Your voice, for my hope and expectation are from You.  You alone are my rock and my salvation.  You are my defense and I shall not be moved.  In You are my salvation and my glory.  The rock of my strength and my refuge are in You.  At all times, I will trust in You, and pour out my heart before You.  You are my protector.
When I call out to You God, You answer me and tell me marvelous and wondrous things that I could never figure out on my own.  As I meditate on and speak Your Word day and night, I sow Your Word on good ground and I believe it will produce fruit in my life and in the lives of others.  By obeying and acting on Your Word, Father, my way will become prosperous and I will have good success.  Halleluiah!
Lord God, please forgive me of any corrupt communication that has proceeded out of my mouth.  I reject and repent of any word that I have spoken against You, or Your operation.  I dedicate my mouth to speak excellent and right things.  I shall only speak what is good and true, so that I can help others and minister grace to those who hear me.  Thank You, Father.  In Jesus name, I pray, amen.

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.  He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.  In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.  Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.”  (Psalm 62:5-8 KJV)

“This is GOD’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as GOD: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.”  (Jeremiah 33:3 MSG)

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  (Joshua 1:8 KJV)

“And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.”   (Mark 4:20 KJV)

“Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.  For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.  (Proverbs 8:6-7KJV)

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”  (Ephesians 4:29 KJV)

I Can't Do This

I’m a college kid, and I’ve done some tutoring for school from time to time. Do you know what I've heard people say their biggest problem is?

“I can’t do this, because I've never been good at ____.”

Well, I always tell someone that I’m tutoring, “You can do it! Forget what you thought about yourself. The only thing that holds you back is you. Put your mind to it, and you’ll succeed!”

Trust me though; there’s always a lesson that goes along with this, and here it is.School can be tricky, but it can really relate to just about any problem you face in life. Wouldn't you say that's true? I know because there have been times in my life where things have come at me, and I just thought, “How in the world is this going to turn out right? I can’t do this!” Well, thankfully, I was completely wrong!

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”  [KJV]

Why was I wrong? Well, it’s because my opinion doesn't really matter! The only thing that matters in this life is God’s opinion of you!

Do you know what he says about you? If you go to Philippians 4:13, He says that you should be thinking, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” [KJV]

Woah! Do you mean that I can do anything? If you’re living for God and you’re doing it through Christ, then you betcha! It means that, when your job throws all those crazy deadlines at you or life is coming at you at a million miles an hour, you can take a second and go before God. He knows exactly what to do. Listen to the Holy Spirit, and then go conquer that giant! After it’s over, the most important thing to do is remember from whom your help comes from. Thank God, give Him all the glory, and encourage others to make God their source too!

You can do it!

Adonai

Prayer Focus for the Week of 6-16-13

O Adonai (Lord), You are a merciful, compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in grace and truth. I commit my works unto You, Lord, and my thoughts shall be established.

God of my life, I choose to believe what You say about me, and not what man says. According to Your Word, You made me in Your image and likeness. I have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings, and purposes of His heart. I am blessed beyond measure – healed spiritually, physically, and financially. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, blessed when I come in and blessed when I go out. I am a son of God, a super-conqueror through Christ Jesus, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Lord, Your Word also says that I am what I think. Forgive me of any doubt and unbelief I have as I continue to renew my mind and transform the image I have of myself to the way You see me. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“But you, Adonai, are a merciful, compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in grace and truth.” (Psalm 86:15 CJB)

“Commit thy work
s unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” (Psalm 16:3 KJV)

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27 KJV)

“For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.” (1Corinthians 2:16 AMP)

Read Deuteronomy 28:1-13 (KJV)

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

“No, in all these things we are superconquerors, through the one who has loved us.”‘ Romans 8:37 (CJB)

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Phillippians 4:13 KJV)

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” (Proverbs 23:7 KJV)

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of yo
ur mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2 KJV)

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18 KJV)

We Are The Measuring Stick

Mark 4:24-25 says: And He said unto them, Take heed what you hear; with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Did you catch that about the measure? What he is saying is that WE ARE THE MEASURING STICK when it comes to what we can believe and what we can receive!

Two people can hear the same scriptures, on say, healing or prosperity and there will be two different outcomes according to what we choose to believe about it.

Those that take the Word giving much study and thought to it - receiving it with joy and faith - will get what they are believing God for.

The same with the person who decides that he will read it once and "just try it". If it works, it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't and will say "I told you it doesn't work!"
They will receive what they are believing for - absolutely nothing and then blame the Lord for it.

You cannot receive beyond what you believe and you cannot believe beyond the Word you have stored in your heart. Romans 10:10

It's time my friends, to Study the Word with Diligence to show thyself approved - 2 Timothy 2:15

Go For It!!!
