The Lord's Plumb Line
What is a plumb line? It is a simple but accurate tool used for determining whether or not something is perfectly vertical. (Upright) Plumb lines are used in the building trades to measure the straightness (vertical) of a wall.
Did you know the Lord uses a plumb line to determine how upright His people are is His sight?
Amos 7:7-9
Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

That is why it says in 1 Cor. 3:10 to take heed how you build.
1 Cor. 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
How is your house being built?
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
